Our Direct Trade program lets you learn more about the farmers behind this exquisite coffee!

Joel and his wife own a 2-acre farm on the outskirts of Dondon Haiti, 75% of which is filled with coffee trees. In addition to his own farm, Joel also works at a local coffee tree nursery tending and managing the seedlings. The sale of this coffee allows him to manage 3 other people, and he's making plans to start his own nursery.

Francis was a physics professor in Port Au Prince. After finishing school in Miami, he went back to Haiti to use his resources and education to help others create a sustainable business for themselves. He's now the president of the co-op and runs their "Own a Tree" Program that donates coffee trees to help new coffee farmers get started.

Pierre owns a neighboring 2-acre farm, and he used to be unemployed before joining the co-op. Now, he's one of the hardest-working members in the group, and thanks to the Direct Trade program he makes enough to allow a stable and secure life for his family.

Fantastic!

We genuinely love our JBM coffee and were curious about the Haitian BM. We were right to be curious! Upon opening the bag, this coffee has a smell like nuts and chocolate (we were pleasantly surprised). Got whole beans cuz we like to grind our own and we were WOW'ed when we took that first sip. It's very mild with low acidity-just like our beloved JBM, but the flavors are slightly different as the Haitian has a more pronounced nutty flavor on the front end that melds with the undertones of chocolate you get from JBM but then that gives way to almost a (slightly burnt) caramel flavour on the very back end. Delicious cuppa coffee and we can't wait to get more!

Frankycoff

I lived in Haiti for 10 years, and I drank blue mountain very often, the one I bought from you does not look like what you were drinking at that time although it is not bad, but I prefer Kenya,Tanzenia,Guatemala , Ethiopia, and costa rica.
