Red Catuai is a Brazilian-bred variety created by crossing Caturra and Mundo Novo. Grown in the warm, dry conditions of West Maui, it is known for producing a remarkably consistent cup with a bright character, smooth body and subtle sweetness.
Our Medium-Light Roast highlights the brighter side of Maui Red Catuai, bringing out a lively cup with mild spice and subtle fruit-like notes. The coffee's rich, wine-like character has earned Red Catuai the nickname "the cabernet of coffees"—a fitting description for a Hawaiian coffee with such a distinctive personality.
