Introducing our NEW Direct Trade Bolivia Caranavi. Grown high in the Bolivian mountains, this coffee is the result of small microfarmers working together to provide an excellent organic coffee with a flavor and texture you will certainly enjoy.

The co-op which produces this mouthwatering coffee is located in the Yungas region of Bolivia near La Paz. There are forty families who work together across 12 small farms to grow, harvest, and process these 100% pure arabica typica beans. The farmers have developed new production methods including soil analysis as well as using chemical free, organic fertilizers and compost to grow these beans.

Farmed at over 5,000 feet above sea level, along the western slope of the Andes Mountains near Peru, this coffee is wet processed and dried on raised beds under the sun.

Aromas of milk chocolate can also be found in the rich flavor of this mildly citrusy coffee which finishes with a heavy, sweet caramel note.

Taste

Light Dark

Sweet aromas of chocolate lead into mild flavors of clean citrus and milk chocolate finishing with a creamy caramel on the palate.

I wouldn't call this a light roast

I'm typically pretty content with coffees from here, I'm usually in the medium roast range, but I've been liking light roasts as of late. So I decided to give one of their light roasts a try. This was by no means roasted to be a light roast. The beans are beyond first crack, a dark brown color and you can see the oil on the beans. I brushed it aside at first and said whatever to myself, but the more I brew it the more I'm unhappy with it. I looked at the return policy and I'm beyond the date to return (my fault). Maybe I was given an over roasted batch, but I'm afraid to order a light roast again from Coffee AM

Smooth and Chocolatey!

This coffee has some fantastic notes of cocoa and balanced body. Very heavy and smooth at the same time. My husband even said he didn't need to use cream or sugar! Excellent work to the farmers and the roaster!
