Before I bought the Burundi coffee, I did read the description, plus the reviews. I decided to give it a try. Let's see, they were not kidding about the full body flavor. Since it is a little on the light roast side, I found pleasantly surprising that the body is very heavy but smooth at the same time. It kind of reminds me of the Sumatra coffees. Comparing it to the Sumatra Black Satin, I have to say the body is the same. The difference in the two coffees that I noticed, the notes on the Burundi has a spicy aftertaste, the black tea is very prevalent at first, then you taste the citrus as the secondary. When the citrus lemon does hit your palate, unfortunately it takes over the black tea. Then, it lingers onto the aftertaste. You would have to be someone who is used to drinking coffee with a highly sensitive, stringent, palette that can pick up the spice! Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of pallet to pick up the nutty flavoring it mentioned. But maybe your coffee cupping connoisseural palettes will be able to pick it up. I challenge you all to try this coffee. The minute I opened this bag, I knew I was in for a real treat!
