Winter Weather Warmers to Keep You Toasty Through the Cold Snap

The groundhog may have seen his shadow, but we still have a few weeks of winter weather left. And with the newest cold-weather snap on its way, here are some wintry drinks to warm you up. Use your favorite espresso to make these mouthwatering coffee drinks.   Each of these recipes is for a 16-ounce serving. All syrups are available on our website.  

Almond Crisp Latte

almond crisp latteAdd the warm flavors of toasted almonds and spicy cinnamon to your espresso with this eye-opening morning drink. 1/2 ounce Monin Almond Syrup 1/2 ounce Monin Cinnamon Syrup 2 shots Espresso Steamed 2% Milk to fill Using a 16-ounce mug, pull two shots of your favorite espresso. Add the almond and cinnamon syrups. Steam the milk and add, stirring slowly. Garnish with freshly whipped cream, slivered almonds, and a cinnamon stick.  

Berry Nutty Mocha

berry nutty mochaRich chocolate, tart berries, and nutty hazelnuts combine with your favorite espresso to awaken your senses. 1/2 ounce Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce 1/2 ounce Monin Blackberry Syrup 1/4 ounce Monin Hazelnut Syrup 2 shots Espresso Steamed 2% Milk to fill In a 16-ounce mug, add two shots of espresso, the chocolate sauce, and the blackberry and hazelnut syrups. Steam the milk and stir in slowly. Garnish with whipped cream, chopped hazelnuts, a blackberry, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.  

Maple Spice Frappe

maple spice frappeSometimes, you just need a frozen concoction to get you going. Perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up, this winter frappe is delicious. 3/4 ounce Monin Maple Spice Syrup 1/2 ounce Monin Caramel Sauce 1 scoop Vanilla Frappe Powder 1 shot Espresso Place all ingredients into a blender. Fill serving glass with ice and add to blender. Blend until smooth and pour into serving glass. Garnish with fresh whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a maple candy.  

Pumpkin Patch Latte

Keep the warming taste of pumpkin spice going throughout the winter season. 1/2 ounce Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup 1/2 ounce Monin Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup 2 shots Espresso Steamed 2% Milk to fill Pour your favorite espresso into your cup. Add Pumpkin Spice and Spiced Brown Sugar syrups to the cup. Steam milk and stir in to incorporate. Garnish with freshly whipped cream, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar.  

Tuxedo Ice Latte

tuxedo latteRefresh and rejuvenate yourself with an afternoon treat. 1/2 ounce Monin Vanilla Syrup 1/2 ounce Monin Peppermint Syrup 2 shots Espresso 2% Milk to fill Fill serving glass with ice. Add all ingredients except milk. Stir to combine. Top with cold milk. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.             These delectable coffees are perfect for Fall and Winter, but you can have them any time of year.
