From high in the mountains of El Salvador comes this Direct Trade, micro-lot, El Salvador Finca Montes Urales. Grown on a family farm in volcanic soils at altitudes between 4,500 and 5,300 feet above sea level, this delicious gourmet coffee is full of complex flavors.

The beans at Finca Montes Urales are hand-harvested and sorted, washed, and dried in the sun on raised beds. As a direct trade farm, the farmers, their families, and the community benefit directly from the sale of their coffee beans. As a micro-lot, this coffee crop comes from a very small area, meaning that the flavor isn't mixed with other coffees from the rest of the country. It's the purest local coffee you can get without visiting the farm yourself! It is truly farm-to-cup.

Tasty Morning Wake-Up

Very nice flavor; not noticeably acidic or bitter aftertaste.

No Thank you

Realizing that people's tastes are different; I'll just say that this coffee tastes like a Starbuck blend...which I won't drink! I guess I don't like a full bodied coffee because it tastes burned to me.

Put it in perspective...the Pea berry is one of the best coffees I have.

Maybe the Best Central American

For my money, the best coffee produced in Central America is Salvadoran, followed closely by Nicaraguan. You can't go wrong with either. This FMU is just full-bodied enough without crossing the line into the high-acidic taste of some other coffees from the region. Central American just doesn't get any better.
