Many people here in Santo Domingo make a living from the production of coffee. This is why strict measures are taken to ensure quality and standards are upheld. Most coffee is grown on small farms and is tended to by devoted farmers and their families who greatly benefit from its production.
The climate is ideal for coffee trees; the nearby ocean brings about cool trade winds and cloud cover that protects the trees from excessive sunlight, yet fostering a humid environment so the trees and the coffee cherries mature slowly. The unique tastes exhibited by the coffee come from the rich soil of the mountainous regions in which the trees are planted. Friedn went to the DR and brought this coffee back. CoffeeAM was the only place we could find to purchase it/ My wife drinks it daily so must buyt the 5# bags. Easy reasonable and very fresh. Will keep using you!I would recommend this item to a friend.

I found French Roast too bitter, but this one was not. I would classify it as about the same as my other favorite, the Bolivian Organic Free Trade.I would recommend this item to a friend.

We fell in love with this coffee many years ago. Deep satisfying flavor without chemicals. The 5lb bag allows us to vacuum seal smaller portions so we can grind what we need as we require. Santo Domingo coffee should be tasted by coffee lovers everywhere. It will hold up to comparisons to more famously known coffees.I would recommend this item to a friend.
