This Indonesian coffee is cultivated and harvested in the rugged mountains of Papua New Guinea alongside the Wahgi River. At elevations in excess to 4,000 feet, this area is also home to the albizza trees that were discovered in the 1930s; grown on just a few acres on the riverbank, the albizza trees allow these coffee beans capture their fruit-like essences to bring you a truly unique flavor.
We light-medium roast each small batch of Papua New Guinea coffee to produce a smooth-tasting and well-balanced cup with a crisp finish. Try a cupping of this gourmet coffee to experience the complex flavors of this exotic region. Order the 5lb bag and save money and enjoy for a long time!

I've never had a disappointing purchase from this site. This coffee was a little on the mild side for me, but is extremely smooth. Not my favorite.I would recommend this item to a friend.

We started using Papua new guinea coffee a few years ago for health reasons because of its low acidity. We fell in love with it. I'm glad we found a place we can get it.I would recommend this item to a friend.

Papua New Guinea Coffee - a taste of home halfway around the world
By BT from Maine-miles from "home" in PNG on February 26, 2012
When you've spent years in a country drinking the coffee grown in your backyard (or a few provinces away), you miss it when you move away. Thanks to CoffeeAM, my family can now have that same taste without having to travel halfway around the world to get it.We seal the bag and keep it in the freezer, grinding enough coffee for the day. Even the last few days of coffee still taste fresh if we've sealed the beans in every day. We can grind courser for our Keurig machine, or finer for our full pot machine.
Delivery is prompt, and the price is good. What more is there to say?

My Every AM coffee
By Kim from Bluffton, SC on January 15, 2012
I was not a distinguished coffee taster until my friend turned me onto a French Press and then after going through tons and tons of coffees, I have settled on this one for everyday. Every morning I get to wake up drinking this smooth coffee. And I personally prefer NOT TOO STRONG of coffee not too BOLD on test. However the more you scoop of this one the stronger you can make it too and it still tastes smooth. I just absolutely love it and am on my 8 or 9th 5 LB bag of this in the past few years. Hope you all enjoy!I would recommend this item to a friend.
The Coffee is not of a good quality
By Robert Potter from Santa Maria CA, on January 14, 2012
The Coffee is very Week, Need to double the amount for one cup.Excellent!
By Steve from Plainville, MA on January 7, 2012
I have tried 9 different Gourmet Coffees from CoffeeAM and this is my #1 pick. It's very aromatic. When I grind up some of these beans my whole house smells wonderful. It has an excellent mild, low acid flavor with hints of chocolate. The flavor holds up nicely as it cools in your cup. I've brewed this in my French press, percolator and drip maker and loved every cup.I would recommend this item to a friend.

Best Coffee in the world!
By Deana Dodge from Sweet Home, OR on October 22, 2011
My husband is in New Guinea, as I write this. He is the one who told me about this coffee. I had 100% Kona coffee at the top of my list. I lived there, why not! Mark Twain is where I first heard about Kona coffee before I moved there in the 70's. I will have to say.....Papua New Guinea coffee is less acidity and the best for an all round ( from the first sip to hours later how it sits on the stomach) coffee. CoffeeAM is my supplier and has been nothing but prompt with their delivery of the finest product, delivered in the most excellent wrapping! Thank you CoffeeAM!I would recommend this item to a friend.

Rich and Relaxed
By Greg from Columbia, SC on September 28, 2011
The Papua New Guinea coffee is a rare treat to be enjoyed by those discerning drinkers who can appreciate the subtleties of a good cup of coffee. The coffee is on one hand rich and flavorful but never bitter or overbearing. It is always a welcomed treat to the palate with no lingering after taste. I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great smooth coffee
By Dan S. from Sterling, Illinois on September 23, 2011
We have tried lots of the different gourmet coffees from CoffeeAM and will continue to do so - but we always come back to Papua New Guinea. It is a light smooth yet full body coffee very much like Jamaica Blue but a lot lower cost. I would recommend this item to a friend.

You'll enjoy this as a very good breakfast or evening coffee. It's not too heavy or acidic. We purchased the 5lb. beans after trying 4-5 different 1lb. varieties. This is a very good site for buying coffee, delivery was fast and reasonable.Pros:
FlavorValue
Cons:
Packaging - vacuum package was a bit suspect but the beans were fine.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great coffee needs a touch more roasting
By Elmo from Central Pennsylvania on January 19, 2010
I really like coffee from the Waghi plantations and the price on this is quite good. However, I have found a medium roast brings out better flavor than the medium light of this product.
