Organic Bolivia 'Colonial Caranavi' Fair-Trade Coffee (5lb Bag)

This wonderful coffee "Colonial Caranavi" is grown by small native farmers known as colonials on land that is steep at elevations rising to 5800 feet. These typica and bourbon coffees, cultivated in the tropics of Bolivia below a magnificent mahogany forest, come from 41 small farms averaging 3 acres each. The farmers work hard to constantly improve their organic farming cultivation practices and the quality of their coffees. They have built raised bed patios for drying, started their own nurseries, and provided coffee technicians to further organic agricultural training. These efforts and the unusual microclimate combine to offer a heavy bodied, spicy coffee that tingles the senses of the tongue as well as the imagination.

A 5-Pound heat-sealed valve bag will ensure the freshest coffee. Your coffee will be fresh roasted the day it ships. Enjoy!

This coffee is certified organic and bird-friendly.

Never will buy in a store again!
By March Henley from Woody Creek, Colorado on March 10, 2012
This coffee is everything you said it is--crisp, not bitter (even reheated when old!!) and the perfect way to begin the day. I have searched and searched in stores for the perfect organic free trade coffee only to be stymied by the huge prices and confusing labels. I didn't know coffee could be so smooth. This summer it will make the best iced coffee. A lazy morning searching coffees on line and you have a customer forever. Thank you for the great packaging and quick shipping as well.

I was very pleased with this coffee. A mild, yet wonderful flavor. Absolutely no bitter after taste. As a coffee drinker who preference is for more robust coffees, this was an enjoyable change. Thanks for the opportunity to share my view.

Second Best
By Ken Schroer from Lake Hopatcong, NJ on May 24, 2011
I bought this because my favorite (Galapagos Island) is no longer available -- and prospects don't look at all good. I emailed CoffeeAM when my favorite vanished (saying that the substitute I tried -- French Roast -- was too bitter) and the guy who answered my email was kind enough to share the names of a couple of his personal favorites. I tried them both and am now on my second five-pound bag of Bolivian Fair Trade, which is quite tasty.

The best coffee!
By Hendrik from Hudson, fl on April 3, 2013
My wife and me like this coffee, no bitter after taste at all. To avoid getting used to the taste of 1 coffee bean, we stock 3 different. I am the one in charge op making coffee in the morning, so for my wife it's a surprise which I am serving, when it's the Bolivia very often my wife compliments the taste.

Yum!
By Craig from New Jersey on August 11, 2012
In my percolator, and using drip grind, this is coming out a bit darker than "light" -- I'd put at at 2/5 on the taste rating. But it's absolutely delicious. Undertones of a fuller body, but with obvious lighter, almost fruity, flavors. Delicious.

Excellent coffe

Smooth, hints of cocoa, just an excellent cup of coffee. We love it so much, we buy a 5 pound bag every 1.5 months. better than Hawaiian. Really!

Fresh and tasty

This coffee has a distinct flavor of chocolate and smoke, (which I adore), without being a dark roast. Has a good lift for breakfast time, too!
