Mauna Loa, the volcano in the western district of the island, creates excellent growing conditions for coffee trees. The slopes produce coffee beans that are known for being full-bodied and well balanced in flavor. Kona 'Volcanic Estate' coffee is grown on these slopes between 800 and 2,500 feet in the rich volcanic soils. Kona produces the highest yield of any other Arabica varietal in the world at 2,000lbs per acre; this is quite impressive compared to other trees that typically average 500-800lbs per acre. With the perfect mixture of sunlight, shade, rain, and humidity, this high-grown Arabica produces exceptional coffee.
Smooth in body, Kona 'Volcanic Estate' has a light acidity that is complimented by slight chocolate and fruit undertones. We medium roast the Kona coffee beans to brew into a light bodied cup that is both vibrant and flavorful.
Hawaiian Kona 'Volcanic Estate' Coffee
As the United States’ only state to grow coffee trees, Hawaii proves itself worthy of the world’s coffee sector. Hawaiian Kona is a high-grown, classic coffee that is medium roasted to brew into a full body of coffee that is slightly acidic with sweet overtones.

Best Coffee Ever Tried
By jacqueline from gambier, OH on January 15, 2012
I used to drink a lot of Illy Coffee but I got sick of the taste after a year and was searching for a new coffee. This is the best I've tried. Nothing I order comes close. Well worth the money.I would recommend this item to a friend.
One of the very finest coffees in the world. Period.

Along with Blue a mountain coffee from Jamaica, this coffee is head and shoulders above all others. If you have not yet had a chance to sample the wonders of Kona, try it!I would recommend this item to a friend.
It's good coffee.

It was more of a medium roast.Great coffee
By Carey from PA/NY on August 3, 2011
This is great coffee. It has a nice low medium roast and is not lactic or acetic at all. It has bitterness (or lack thereof) on par with JBM. On the back-end of the pull there are developed notes of chocolate, burnt sugar, toffee and a hint of citrus that you don't get on the front end.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Well Balanced and Smooth

I like Hawaiian coffees and this Kona is no exception. Coffee is one of the treats to myself and this Kona is always in my pantry.Pros:
The taste is so smooth - no aftertaste - and the roast is a medium roast to compliment the bean.Cons:
I don't dislike this coffee. I purchase it regularly.I would recommend this item to a friend.

I've ordered 6 different coffee varieties from CoffeeAM.com now and this one is certainly my favorite. We tried a couple of the other Hawaiian coffees but they didn't come close to this one. The wife and I both drink it black with nothing else added. Very highly recommended! Pros:
- clean taste- no bad after taste
Cons:
- the price per poundI would recommend this item to a friend.
Perfection
By Merdith from Lake Jackson, Texas on April 26, 2011
This is honestly my favorite coffee, it is similar to Jamaican Blue due to the volcanic soil, my theory is the carbon acts as a filter and gives the cleanest flavor in the world. I did a coffee shootout on my pump espresso machine and went through several bags of Blue Mt. and Hawaiian Kona and I think this is a little bit better, and that's saying something. It makes more crema and has a gentle flavor that requires less sugar than any coffee I've had........and please don't ruin it with coffee mate, flavors, or skim milk, show some respect and use real cream and sugar.......
