Organic Guatemala 'Santiago Atitlan' Fair-Trade Coffee

Surrounded by mountains and three volcanoes, this coffee plantation is located next to the picturesque Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Grown in high altitudes and nourished to perfection without the use of any man-made chemicals, this organic coffee is medium bodied with a complex flavor and an enchanting aroma.

Grown under the shade of trees, protected by migratory birds, and nurtured by an environment that encourages slow growth, the coffee beans are bursting with bold and rich flavors by the time they are harvested. After meticulous hand-selection, the beans are wet processed and sun dried; everything comes together perfectly to produce a gourmet coffee that brews into a remarkable cup time after time.

Smooth and robust, this delightful gourmet coffee is perfect no matter what time of the day it is. Experience the goodness of Organic Guatemalan coffee.
This Fair Trade coffee is cultivated near Lake Atitlan in the region of Sierra Madre. This variety of Bourbon is wet-processed, encompassing a heavy brightness with sweetened undertones in its flavor profile. This medium roasted Guatemalan coffee produces a delightful aroma and a heavy body with high acidity.

Absolutely perfect coffee
January 6, 2013
I was initially nervous about ordering this coffee since it was listed as dark roast, and most dark roast I've had tastes burnt to me. However, I was compelled to buy THIS coffee since I used to live next to this very coffee orchard. I am so happy I did. I feel I have finally found the perfect coffee bean. It is smooth, strong, not at all bitter, rich -- just the best. I strongly recommend it!

Will order this again, and again.....
July 30, 2012
We first tasted this in the "Tour of the World" sampler. When we took our first sip, my husband and I looked at each other and said "Mmmmmm. This is on the "be back" list!". It's so smooth and rich, but not at all bitter.

My new favorite
January 3, 2012
Having drunk the Sumatra Mandheling from CoffeeAM for the past eight years, I finally decided to try a lighter roast after reading that French roasts can hide some of the more delicate coffee aromas. I did a head-to-head trial of this coffee and the Peruvian and Bolivian organic beans. This was my clear winner. The flavor is bold but not acidic, and there are wonderful aromas of chocolate and even dark fruits.

Very Good Coffee - and Fair Trade Too
June 5, 2011
I was looking for fair trade coffee, but I only drank instant, and I couldn't find instant fair trade coffee that I liked. You had such a good selection at such good prices, that I decided to try non-instant. I chose this one and one from Ethiopia. Both were very good. This one isn't bitter at all, and it has a nice rich taste. I usually mix the too together now. I'm very happy with the product and how fast it arrived, and I plan to continue buying it.

Great Coffee
March 28, 2013
First of all I want to thank CoffeeAM for their excellent service and awesome coffee. My husband and I drink coffee pretty much all day long and we are huge fans of Guatemalan coffees. I used to buy all my coffee from Starbuck's, but due to some beliefs of the company I no longer wish to support them in any way. I have been purchasing coffee from CoffeeAm for 3 years now and I will never buy from anyone else again! The organic Guatemala was a very nice coffee, full of body and chocolate undertones, I enjoyed it very much, and eventhough I am a Guatemalan Antigua drinker I would recommend this coffee to everyone!

Mild and Floral....
November 19, 2012
No bitterness at all, its a mild and soft taste with a hint of floral. Most coffees I would never consider drinking black, but this one you can! In fact its the only coffee that I've ever tasted Black and liked all by itself. Putting creamer and a little sugar in this coffee overwhelms the coffee and you no longer taste it it is that soft. I like it. If you want robust, this isn't it. I usually like strong coffee, but I really like this one!

Smooth and tasty
November 2, 2012
A very smooth cup of coffee. This Fair-Trade coffee has a moderately complex flavor with a very pleasant "earthy" finish. The acidity and bitterness are quite low, even when the cup has cooled. I will be buying this again.

Tried and true
July 5, 2012
My husband and I have been drinking this Guatemalan brew for many years. In the past, we tried beans from a variety of growers in other countries, and always came back to the organic Santiago Atitlan. Now, we just stay with it, for we have found no other coffee as mellow, smooth and deeply rich.
