This southern Italian classic is blended from 100% Arabica beans and roasted by our on site roaster to "full city roast." Full city is a medium roast that is reached after just a few minutes when the beans are caught between the first and second popping. The beans will exhibit balance between aroma, acid and complexity, producing a smooth well rounded espresso.
Although we will be happy to grind it for you, for optimum taste, we recommend ordering your espresso whole bean. For a traditional and exceptional cup of espresso, the beans should be ground immediately prior to use.
A heat sealed valve bag will ensure the freshest coffee. Your coffee will be fresh roasted the day it ships. Enjoy!

My first espresso bean

This was my first bean for espresso, I'm rating a 4 because I have little experience to compare, except for a local coffee shop, who's espresso, was much worse than mine. I ended up grinding this to a 3 on my Gaggia MDF. I am drinking two double shots a day, and the 1 lb bag was a little too much to use 14g at a time, before it started providing less Crema, although the taste stayed the same. I ended up grinding the last 1/3 lb into standard drip grind and am pleased with that too. I'm marking this as a favorite, so I can remember it for later as I begin my quest for the perfect cup.

There are better quality espresso's out there, but this one was surprisingly good with great crema on top. The beans were a little dried out compared to my favorite brand, but this brand is much less expensive for the every day cup.
