Nestled in the southern slopes of the Himalaya Mountain Range, this fine tea thrives at elevations of 6,800 feet. Darjeeling's preeminence as India's foremost producer of premium quality black teas is due to a unique combination of factors. Higher elevation, soil type, hilly terrain with excellent drainage, weather pattern and age and diversity of bush all lend a hand in helping create a flavor profile.
Darjeeling teas have the most precious qualities of the world. They possess an exquisite bouquet and flavor and a distinctive Muscat grape character, almost wine-like in taste, in a lovely and light cup. The light, beautiful body of this gourmet tea holds a flavorful surprise for your palate that you're going to love. Excellent balance

By Graeme from Hawaii on April 25, 2012
I particularly enjoy this tea with the balance of a fairly light aroma and a full, rounded taste. It's my current choice for a breakfast tea as it does not acquire the astringency of many other teas if left to steep excessively long.I would recommend this item to a friend.
A Favorite

By Jim from Mableton, GA on February 16, 2012
This is one of my two favorite loose leaf black teas at CoffeeAM. This one is lighter in color with a more subtle flavor, sometimes seems to have a hint of cinnamon or something, even though no spices are added. Great if you like a cup that's not so strong.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great tea

By David Carr from TX on October 17, 2011
This is tea that my family drinks every day, cold iced tea. I heat 3 cups of water for 5 minutes in the microwave. Then I put 1/4 cup of this tea in a coffee filter wrapped like a bag and held by a clip. Swirl it around a few times to get it nice and soaked up, prime it up. I let that steep for 25 minutes. This concentrated solution goes into a 2 quart tea pitcher, which I then fill with water. I add about 1/2 cup of sugar to this pitcher. We keep it refrigerated. The family will drink nothing else, they complain if I get behind in my tea duties. It is many times more refreshing than lipton, or nestea or any of that stuff.I would recommend this item to a friend.
