I am a diehard Capresso fan. Although I prefer the older swing-arm versions (doesn't get better than the 454), I find this 464 up there in quality. It's frustrating when you read the consumer reports, and BBB complaints regarding Cuinsinart, especially since that seems to be everyone's choice, of course until the unit stops or catches on fire. This Capresso makes and excellent pot of coffee CONSISTENTLY. Capresso's customer service is superior. It is relatively easy to clean and moisture does NOT get up into the grind chute. It sits handsomely on the counter but please remember to measure the height. I was lucky, it fit my home but not my summer place. There are two drawbacks but not enough to discourage you, considering it's competition. The grinder is very loud and I find that it uses mush more coffee to obtain the stellar taste that the older models were known for. I don't think the round cup filter is as affective as the cone shaped filter. The water has to brew through a deeper amount of coffee with the cone shape, thus requiring less coffee to reach your desired taste. Overall, a solidly built machine. Please read reviews (everywhere) on other grind and brews and you'll realize this is the true winner. Also, keep in mind that when one receives their brand new coffee maker and writes a review immediately, you don't know how it will stand up over time. I still have the original Capresso 451 purchased in 1994. 20 yrs later and it still works. I challenge another grind and brew to measure up to that! I enjoy ordering my coffee from CoffeeAM as store bought coffee doesn't compare to their vast variety and quality. Thanks CoffeeAM!
