Burundi AA Kirimiro Coffee (1lb Bag)

Burundi, also called the "Land of a Thousand Hills," is a tiny country surrounded by Tanzania, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Coffee is their primary cash crop, and the farmers have mastered the art of sustainable mountain agriculture. They understand and respect the delicate balance of their envionment, and they only grow Arabica coffee.

With a heavy mouthfeel, flavors of lemon, black tea, delicate hints of spiced clove, and a sweet nutty finish, this light-roasted coffee is something you've never tried before! We know you'll love it as soon as you take that very first sip.

Excellent

I have tried most of the coffees here, at least the non-dark roast ones, and this is definitely one of my favorites. Nice smooth taste, no bitterness.

Very Good
April 30, 2013
I worked on a economic development project to help develop the Burundi coffee sector from 2010 - 2012 so when I came across Burundi Kirimiro coffee for sale I was excited to try it. It was delicious; balanced and clean with good acidity. My family loved it too. I liked the packaging as well.

Full bodied and smooth!

I am not a coffee snob and tend to shy away from those that are a bit stronger. This coffee has the full body of a stronger coffee, but is much, much milder. I'm now hooked!

Received it in a CoffeeAM free half-pound sample. Tried it and loved it and so did my wife. We now put it in our rotation. (India Monsoon, Papua New Guinea, Burundi)

OUT IN LEFT FIELD (IN A VERY GOOD WAY)
February 21, 2014
Me and my grown son are serious coffee drinkers and have been buying single origin coffees online for 15 years. We discovered this coffee sevreal years ago and it became one of our top picks. It has a flavor and smoothness you will not believe, the most unique cup ever. Do yourself a favor and try it, If you are anything like us and looking for the unusual, I will place money on your raving about it too. I am not a coffee nut so I cannot tell you the "hints" of this flavor or that flavor but in our taste this one stands alone.

very mild coffee. I will not buy again just because I like a stronger taste. It is very smooth,, good for people who like a mild flavor.

Excellent coffee

After dealing with other coffee companies for years, it is great to find a company with fine coffee, prompt service, and a very reasonable approach to shipping costs as well! We find this Burundi coffee to be sweet with a nice body and aroma; it also has a pleasant earthiness about it, too.

First Class Taste & Aroma
November 21, 2013
Part of the coffee "experience" for me is the aroma. Grinding beans immediately before brewing, releases an enticing aroma which heightens the expectation of tasting. Right out of my French press (4 minute, 5 second brewing) and the kitchen becomes my coffee shop. The taste is pure coffee. Enough for my early morning caffeine fix without being overpowering. It is just darn good coffee.

Best dessert coffee
November 21, 2013
I usually like a medium to dark roast coffee for my morning eye opener. Sometimes the dark roasts can be bitter and burnt tasting. This coffee is a light roast. It is a delightfully mild coffee with no bitter after taste. This coffee is perfect for after dinner and dessert or just to meet people and have a cup. I prefer morning coffee a bit stronger. This coffee is very good and would highly recommend it for someone who likes a lighter roast.

Great African coffee
June 28, 2013
Years ago, Kilimanjaro AA (not peaberry) was a fantastic coffee and has since disappeared. Rounding out my like of Kenya AA, Burundi is now on top of my African list. AS ALWAYS - roasted perfectly and uniformly. The beans are large size, uniform, and provides a great cup of coffee. I highly recommend this coffee.

This was my first experience buying online from CoffeeAM. I may not be able to pronounce it, but I love this coffee. Very smooth... and it helps that you get a full pound.

Starts out smooth, ends with a chicory flavor.
May 3, 2013
My oldest son loves this coffee because of the chicory taste at the end. For that reason, Burundi is not a favorite of mine. It begins rich in flavor, but the slightly bitter after taste lowers my rating.
